She also made the in-person shopping trip (a process which I normally loathe) incredibly efficient and fun! “Making the decision to hire a stylist as a man in my 30’s was a bit daunting. But as soon as I met Anne and went through the process everything far exceeded any expectations I had! Prior to Anne I spent too much time deciding what to wear and usually left the house still not loving what I was in. I was blown away with Anne’s process, as she first helped me go through everything I had and illustrated how I could easily repurpose a lot of my current clothes. “I’ve worked with Anne twice now and my experience has been so freaking awesome that I wish SheStylesCO existed my entire life. If I’d known Anne in high school, I never would have decorated my ratty tennis shoes with flaky acrylic paint. If she’d coached me for my first job interview, I might have worn something other than a Victoria’s Secret catalogue suit a la Murder She Wrote. “I originally sought Anne out for multiple reasons: the first and foremost being I was recovering from disordered eating and now had a fuller, healthier body that I was still adjusting to and didn’t know how to style. On top of that, I was turning 30, am just about to start law school, and wanted to present myself with more sophistication.
Anne gave me more than just a banging style, she helped me love my new body by finding styles that worked for me that still made me feel sexy and proud. She really worked with me to find the best version of my style that was uniquely me. She did this by first getting to know me, my fashion goals, and what I really saw for myself; then she determined how that would translate into to my needs and budget. She continually went above and beyond. She stayed late to give each item the time it deserved during the closet session (an event I was quite anxious about that she made a total breeze emotionally and logistically), she would readily add more recommendations in the style guide for items that didn’t quite speak to me, answered every single question I had along the way, and would check in with me to see how I was doing throughout the process.
I was constantly impressed by how she listened and made me feel heard if something didn’t feel true to me, instead of just telling me what would look best from a conventional standpoint (which I am not!). She was so receptive to pivoting to make sure the style really felt like mine. I really appreciate that she never ever made me feel pressured to buy anything or dress a certain way that wasn’t true to me. I now have a polished style that I love and feel confident in dressing for any occasion.
