Inspired & Influenced. Our passions, our crafts.

Anne Liebman | Founder & Stylist of SheStylesCo

Ever think about how you got to where you are? Life events, pop culture, mentors, historical icons you’ve always admired? What has helped drive your passion for what you do? How have you and your craft been influenced to make you and what you offer to the world, well, YOU?!

There are several that have influenced me, my decisions, my passions, my talents and ultimately my choice to start my own style consulting business, SheStylesCo. Two consistently stand out to me, and continue to guide and influence how I do what I love so much – fashion and style. Coco (Gabrielle) Chanel and Carrie Bradshaw.

Chanel, very real, the top French couturier of her time, paved the way for the modern-day classic, timeless essence we all adore so much. For me, it’s so much more than her fashion and style sense though. In addition to her top-level elegance and poise, she was a driven, independent, talented, no-bull***t woman who did whatever she needed in order to be successful. And look at the empire she has built! So so inspiring as I continue to build mine. There is so much about Chanel that I resonate with admire. In her words, “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.”

And Carrie. Not real. A fictional character on an HBO series that my high school girlfriends and I consumed ourselves with, one DVD season at a time! Carrie Bradshaw at the center of it all, her (and her three amazing best friends) adventure through Manhattan dating, friendship, life. This ‘Sex and the City’ fashionista beauty and her sense of style will forever be iconic for me. The way she put together her outfits, pulling together the most unexpected pieces to create a look like no other. Making it her very own. Fun, flirty, sexy, edgy, timeless, tomboy, chic, bohemian, classic… all in one! Simply amazing. Thank you @sjp for bringing one of my fashion idol’s to life so well. I can’t put into words how excited I am to see the saga continue. ‘And just like that…’

Who (or what) has inspired you to do what you love in the beautiful, amazing way that only you can do?
